The Susquehanna Valley Association of Neonatal Nurses (SVANN), a local chapter of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN), is a non-profit professional nursing organization. Members of SVANN are dedicated neonatal nurses from Pennsylvania and beyond. Currently, SVANN has well over fifty active members representing numerous healthcare organizations from in and around the south-central Pennsylvania region. Members of SVANN include neonatal intensive care nurses, neonatal nurse practitioners, nurse educators, and nurse managers.

SVANN provides opportunities for the dissemination of the latest evidence-based practice through its regular continuing education programs, including Hot Topics in Neonatal Nursing. The SVANN annual educational conference, Hot Topics in Neonatal Nursing, attracts both nationally and regionally recognized speakers, as well as attendees from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and beyond!

In addition to continuing education, SVANN members have the opportunity for professional development and networking at quarterly education and business meetings.

SVANN generously supports pre-licensure nursing education and community outreach through the SVANN Nursing Scholarship Fund and its annual charitable giving. Since its inception in 2004, the SVANN Nursing Scholarship Fund has provided over $47,500 in scholarships to local pre-licensure nursing students!
